Results for the first MPH Go-Kart Series Championship

September 30, 2009 Travis Cantrell, Jason Wahl, Ben Meitl, Jordan Parr, Darren Hoffman. These are the winners of the over all series championship.

The format was changed to insure that any inequities of the Go-Karts would not effect the final results. The top 6 racers in points ran 6 races and the competitors drove a different Go-Kart every time. We then added the finishing places of all six races together to determine the winner for the last night of racing. This then allowed the series points to be calculated and determine the series champion.

First place won a new racing helmet. Second place won a Bell kart racing jacket, and third place won a pair of nomex driving gloves

The team competition was won by the "Hole in the Wahl " team consisting of Jason Wahl, Travis Cantrell, and R.E. Simmons. Second place was the Dexter family consisting of Zane, Dillon, and Warren.

I would like to thank all the competitors and spectators for coming to MPH for this successful series. Keep an eye on our web site www.racemph.com for when our next series will begin. 125cc shifter karts will be being added next summer for rent and racing fun.

As you can see the series was highly contested and very competitive. Only 4 points separated the first 3 positions and only 1.5 points separated 4^th 5^th and 6^th. After the 6 heat races were over tonight Travis Cantrell took first place for the night adding 6 pts to his 29. Darren Hoffman finished second adding 5 points to his 41. Jordan Parr took third, adding 4 pt’s to his 37. Jason Wahl finished fourth adding 3 pt’s to his 30.

For the series Championship, no one was able to catch Darren Hoffman as he continued to show his ability to win when it counts with 46 points. Jordan Parr and Ben Meitl were only one point apart with Jordan taking second place with 41 points and Ben finishing third with 40 points. Travis Cantrell finished 4^th with 35points and Jason Wahl finish 5^th with 33 points.
